Tony is a 2000 Montreat graduate and even met his wife and best friend, Diane, while attending as a student. They currently have two furry kids (Weimaraners named Lincoln and Mary Todd). Tony says that choosing to attend Montreat changed his life, and he feels blessed to work for a college that is Christ-centered, student-focused, and service-driven. He looks forward to working with you through the admissions and financial aid processes. Caleb Hofheins – Communications Specialist

Caleb is a May 2010 grad of Montreat College and holds a degree in English literature. He is currently the voice behind the official Montreat College page on Facebook. He also works with Twitter, video production, print material writing, and other admissions tasks. In his free time, Caleb enjoys mountain biking, climbing, writing, and live music. Caleb is also a published poet and is working on publishing a compilation of new poetry.

Mandi Pike – Admissions Specialist

Mandi is a 2009 Montreat alum. During her time as a student, she majored in English communications and played softball. When she’s not working, she enjoys writing (her most recent project is a romance novel), soap operas, baking, and sports. Her favorite musicians are Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Fray, and Frank Sinatra—but not a combination of the three.

Elena is originally from Russia and chose to study International Business at Montreat, graduating in May 2010. Her passions include Christ, dance, art, foreign languages, and world affairs. Elena’s staple Bible verse is Colossians 3:23.

Keri is the Receptionist for Admissions and Student Financial Services and serves as the Campus Visit Coordinator. Along with this, she also teaches part-time for the Human Services Department. Outside of work, she is a wife and a mother to one daughter, the Vice President of the WNC Brain Tumor Support Organization, and she enjoys crafting, reading, and singing. Keri also loves Chinese and Italian food and likes the music of Steven Curtis Chapman.

Rachel Kauffman – Admissions Information Coordinator

Rachel, who is originally from Chicago, graduated from Montreat in 2002 with a B.A. in English literature. While at Montreat, she was a member of Montreat’s first cross country team. Her husband, Seth, is a Montreat alum who graduated in 1998. Rachel enjoys hiking, baking, and reading carefully written college application essays.

Jessica attended Jefferson Davis Community College and plans to start at Montreat soon as a student. She recruits for the associate and bachelor degree programs. During her spare time, she spends as much of it as she can outdoors, enjoying all that the Asheville area has to offer, such as kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, and yoga. She also enjoys participating in church activities, making handmade jewelry, traveling, and spending time with her beautiful daughter, fiancée, and dog, Rocky.

Diane has earned degrees from the Berkeley School of Business, the University of Phoenix, and Montreat College. She is currently working toward her bachelor’s degree in psychology. Diane recruits for the associate degree programs. When recruiting for Montreat, Diane enjoys working with potential students to help them develop a plan for a successful future. In her free time, Diane spends time with her family, reads, and swims.

Matt graduated from Western Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in communications. He was drawn to work at Montreat because of its Christ-centered approach to education.  Matt works with those interested in pursuing Montreat’s adult undergraduate programs. When it’s hot, you’ll find Matt by the lake or the pool. When it’s cold, you’ll find him wishing it were hot enough to go to the lake or the pool.

Becky graduated with a bachelor’s degree in human services from Gardner-Webb University. She recruits for the Bachelor of Science in the Psychology and human services program and the Master of Arts in the clinical mental health counseling program. Becky values the loving, helpful spirit of those she works with at Montreat, and she appreciates the servant leadership mentality of the administrators. When not recruiting for Montreat, Becky enjoys spending time relaxing with her friends and kids; weekends away; working in her yard, digging in dirt and planting things; and visiting with family.

Julianne earned a bachelor’s degree in technical photography with minors in entrepreneurship and psychology from Appalachian State University. She is responsible for recruiting for the Masters of business administration, the Masters of Science in management and leadership, and the Master of Arts in the clinical mental health counseling programs. In her free time, Julianne is an avid church member, youth group leader, photographer, reader, coffee drinker, and hammock enthusiast.

Sharon earned a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University, and she currently recruits for the management and leadership graduate program. She enjoys meeting new people through her work at Montreat. When not recruiting, Sharon loves spending time with her family.
