Ministry can take place anywhere. The outdoor ministry degree provides students with a foundation of Christian education and then equips them to utilize the outdoors for evangelism and discipleship. 

Shaping lives

Students within the outdoor ministry program will be prepared to create life-transforming experiences for people of all ages. Outdoor Ministry majors gain training in Christian education as well as preparation in how to use the outdoor environment for teaching, leading, and ministering.

Be equipped

  • learn how to utilize the outdoors for evangelism and discipleship
  • theory and practice are integrated in the course of study
  • prepare, design, and administer outdoor programs and use programming for ministry opportunities
  • live and study near four major wilderness areas
  • gain interpersonal skills, leadership skills, biblical training
  • put theory to practice at the Team and Leadership Center and through other outdoor programming opportunities
  • develop an understanding of how to run a Christian camp and organize trips
