Academics

Majors

You’re ready to focus your studies. Here, you’ll not only learn from leading scholars in your field, you’ll also be strengthened by the Christ-centered foundation of every path of study. There are many choices—and one guide.

Programs and concentrations

We work with a diverse group of learners, so we’re pretty good at meeting a wide range of educational needs. For traditional undergraduates, we offer undergraduate degree programs that lead to a bachelor’s or an associate’s degree. Within these focused programs, we offer specific concentrations—selected groups of courses that allow you to specialize even further within your studies. For example, if you’re a passionate biologist with an interest in future environmental work or even outdoor education, then you might major in environmental biology and minor in outdoor education. To further your studies, you might complete our wilderness leadership certification program and spend time serving with our outdoor-focused community programs. Whatever your passion, you can find ways to both specialize and expand it at Montreat.
