Human Resource Management

Our Human Resources Management concentration takes a Christ-centered approach to the legal and ethical components of the human resources environment. Courses in our program cover key topics, including:

  • Labor-Management Relations
  • Business Ethics
  • Marketing Management
  • Managerial Accounting Issues

We provide a well-rounded educational foundation, and our faculty members are actively involved in your learning. They integrate Christian teachings into competitive, innovative business practices—and teach you how to do the same. In our Human Resources Management courses, you’ll complete an individual business project under their guidance, generating a proposal, a report, and a presentation to problem-solve for a client organization.

Our Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a Human Resource Management concentration has been acknowledged by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as being fully aligned with SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates. The HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates were developed by SHRM to define the minimum HR content areas that should be studied by HR students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Our Marketing concentration balances theory and applied learning through a Christ-centered approach—providing a broad, solid foundation in business marketing. Our Marketing courses cover several important areas, like:

  • Sales Administration
  • Marketing Research
  • Marketing Management

Courses in our Marketing concentration are designed to help you learn to identify customer needs, communicate information about products and services to customers and potential customers, price products and services, and find ideal marketing locations. At Montreat, you can earn your degree in just two years by attending our classes one night a week or online. Our courses feature a family-like atmosphere that allows you to work closely with your classmates and instructors as you complete your education.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must submit the following credentials: 

  • Montreat College Application for Admission
  • Of?cial transcripts of all prior college coursework. An of?cial high school transcript or GED certi?cate for students who transfer less than 24 semester hours of regionally accredited college course work
  • A minimum of 54 transferable semester hours of regionally accredited college course work (including a minimum of 50% general education credit)
  • A minimum overall GPA of 2.0 in all prior college course work At least two years of relevant full-time work experience
  • A score of 550 or above on the English as a foreign language test for students whose ?rst language is not English
