Presidential Search

Montreat College has begun the search for its eighth president.

The Overview

On March 1, the Montreat College Board of Trustees announced that it launched a new search for Montreat College’s eighth president. The goal is to have a president in place by June 2014.

Presidential Search Committee includes alumni, trustees, faculty, students, staff, and community members. The search process will begin with a careful assessment of the college’s distinctive character, opportunities, and challenges to clarify the skills and perspectives that the next president will need. Seeking a collaborative process, the chair has invited all college constituencies to provide input and recommendations for the committee’s consideration.

Your Role

The Presidential Search Committee welcomes your thoughts and suggestions during the search process. Your advice about Montreat’s distinctive character, the goals that we should set as an institution for the next ten years, and the challenges we must overcome would be most helpful. Please direct your comments and suggestions (in confidence) to the Presidential Search Committee at presidentialsearch@montreat.edu.

We also would appreciate nominations of potential candidates, which should be sent to our search firm at MontreatPresident@carterbaldwin.com.
