The Montreat College Friends of Music, an auxiliary organization of the College, sponsors quality musical performances on campus for the educational benefit of students and the enjoyment of the local community, and provides financial and volunteer support on behalf of the Montreat College Music Program. Please join us in our musical pursuits.
The Friends of Music sponsors professional musicians’ performances throughout each semester. The performance calendar offers a broad range of performers that are scheduled for a variety of times during the day or evening throughout the week. Venues for music performances could include either the Chapel of the Prodigal or Gaither Chapel.

Dr. Eunice W. Stackhouse Scholarship
The Friends of Music sponsors the Dr. Eunice Stackhouse Scholarship, an award given to the top six performers in the annual Friends of Music Scholarship Competition: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and Honorable Mention. Each year the Friends of Music hosts a Scholarship Fund Luncheon to raise funds for Montreat College music students and the college music scholarship.
The Montreat College Friends of Music is a membership organization. All donors giving amounts of $25 or more annually are acknowledged in all Friends of Music sponsored series programs and in the Friends of Music Newsletter. We also occasionally have receptions or other social events, some of which are by invitation for members only.
