Need a Résumé?

A great résumé is important as you seek to market your abilities. It is not the only tool, but it is certainly the central tool to landing an interview with an organization that may lead to the type of position you are seeking.

The first step toward putting together a great résumé is putting together a draft, then come see us and we’ll help you put your best foot forward!

Below are some tools to download and get started. NOTE: If your browser doesn't already support PDF files, you can download a free Adobe Reader.

Work Experience Worksheet (PDF) – This form will help you get organized. Use one of these for each job.

Résumé Template (Word)– This is a Word file template for you to use to develop a draft of your resume. It splits experience into related and other. This style résumé was developed with the new graduate in mind. Other styles may present your abilities better depending on your level of experience. If so, feel free to use this to develop a draft and we can make adjustments to the format during an appointment.

Cover Letter Example and Guide (PDF) – Anytime a resume is sent by mail, it must be accompanied by a cover letter. This guide will help you put together a cover letter, which is another very important part of marketing your abilities. Work on a draft and bring it by to be critiqued.

References Template (Word) – This is a Word file template to put together a references page. The best combination of references is a combination of faculty in your major and work (such as an internship or other job).

Work on a first draft and then make an appointment:
