For Searle, what began with a latent legacy and a friend's invitation to an art class has evolved into a lasting and exciting involvement with watermedia.
Cathy moved through realism to her present abstract and non-objective style using contrast, rhythm and energy. Acrylic gesso, with its matte surface and saturated colors, is now her medium of choice and is best suited to display her unique interpretation of line and intersection, shape and color.
Cathy has participated in and taken awards at juried exhibitions at the local, regional, state, national and international level.
