Dr. Brad Daniel and Dr. Dottie Shuman conducted a weekend training session on methods for teaching environmental education. The training prepared educators to facilitate a new required module in the NC environmental education certification program.
Dr. Brad Daniel and Dr. Dottie Shuman conducted a weekend training session on methods for teaching environmental education on Feb. 27 to Mar 1. The training prepared educators to facilitate a new required module in the NC environmental education certification program. Dr. Shuman and Dr. Daniel wrote the module and co-authored two supporting documents--a participant's guide and an extensive facilitators guide. The training session was conducted at Blue Jay Point County Park north of Raleigh. Participants included twenty community college faculty from around the state and several staff members of the North Carolina Office of Environmental Education.
