Hello Montreat,
It has been a very eventful week! I had to visitors this week! Stephanie Sabin and Blake Lewis came to DC! I was so excited to see Montreat students! They stayed at my apartment building and I showed them around DC. My roommate Rachel took us on a tour of the capital building. It was great to see the inside of the building and there are tons of interesting things to see. We got to sit inside the chamber where the Congress votes on bills. It was alot of fun to be around Montreat students! Then Friday night was Halloween night and unfortunately I had this huge project due and had to work on it for most of the night! However, I did spend a few hours at our Halloween part on the roof. A number of student dressed up. We had Quailman, the Joker, Martin Luther, the Pope, and the 95 thesis show up! We danced and ate pizza and candy. It was so much fun! Then it was up early on Saturday morning to catch the Republican National Committee bus to finish up my campaign hours. We went to Fredricksburg, VA. There Rachel, Emily, and I spent 8 hours canvassing the local neighborhoods. After spending 30 hours campaigning for McCain I am so nervous about the election. I have more of an invested interest in the outcome and I hope that he wins! Its got to be worse for all of the people who worked on the campaigns for months. Well, we will find out on Tuesday who the next President will be. So, that has been my week. Its been crazy but lots of fun!
