English and Languages: Course Requirements
 English Major
1. Courses required for General Education Core, including Philosophy 201 or Interdisciplinary Studies 202 (50 hours).
2. Successful completion of the intermediate level of French, Greek, Spanish, or other approved language (12 hours).
3. Required courses in the major: Completions of one of the concentrations listed below (41 hours):
A. Literature (41 hours)
B. Communication (41 hours)
C. Creative Writing (41 hours)
4. General electives to bring total to 126 semester hours. Refer
to "Requirements for Baccalaureate Degrees" for more information in the Catalog for more information.
5. All English majors are required to take the Major Field Test (MFT) in their discipline prior to graduation.
