Jesse Wise garners AAC and Region Player of the Week honors

Jesse Wise (SR., Benson, NC) had a phenomenal time at the plate last week for Montreat, which earned him both AAC and NAIA Region XII Player of the Week. Wise put up tremendous numbers, going 13-for-26 (.500) in a six game span, with a stellar slugging average of .923. In those 26 trips to the plate, Wise contributed 12 RBI's, two doubles, and three homers. All three home runs came in one game against NCAA D-II Mars Hill.

Wise is currently batting .425 in 42 games for Montreat. His 52 RBI's are one of the reasons why Montreat has won 30-plus games in the past four consecutive seasons; they are currently 32-14, and have been ranked as high as 21st in the nation.

The Cavaliers currently rank 15th nationally in batting average (.351) and 15th in slugging percentage (.534).
