If you need an in-school deferment or enrollment verification, please supply the Records and Registration Office with the appropriate form from your lender. Be sure to complete your portion of the form before sending it to our office. You may either mail the form to Montreat College Office of Records and Registration, P.O. Box 1267, Montreat, NC 28757, or fax it to 828-669-2141. If you fax the form, be sure to fax both sides, as the address of the lender is typically on the back side of the form. Also, feel free to come by and see us in Gaither Chapel on our main campus! We will mail the form to the lender for you unless you request that it be returned to you after processing.
In-school deferment and enrollment verification forms are normally processed within five days of their receipt in the Office of Records and Registration. However, no loan deferment will be completed for a future semester as we cannot guarantee that a student who registers for classes will actually enroll. Because of this, enrollment verification and in-school deferments can only be completed for current or past semesters. New students must matriculate and be in class before a form can be completed. Also, please allow a couple of weeks to pass after we have sent a verification form for the lender to both receive and process the information.
