Montreat College Backcountry

Offering hands-on wilderness challenge courses, guiding services, and adventures specifically tailored to your needs, Montreat College Backcountry offers a unique connection to the mountains of western North Carolina.

• Brings groups closer to the Creator by drawing closer to creation
• Students learn about honoring Christ in word and action through intense outdoor adventure
• Decision-making and reflection provide students with an opportunity to develop leadership skills

CLIMBE Summer Outdoor Expeditions for Youth

CLIMBE offers week-long and two-week adventure excursions into the mountains of western North Carolina during the summer months.  These science-based educational expeditions give students experiential education opportunities to study environmental science in outdoor settings. Trips feature:

• Geology and climbing
• Rivers and whitewater
• Forests and hiking
• Earth Science and caving
• Environmental Studies and the Appalachian Trail
