One of the biggest obstacles in obtaining an education in the United States for an international student is cost. Some of the questions you may have are likely concerning paying for your education. Here are some questions that international students frequently ask:

Are scholarships available for international students? Yes, there are two types of scholarships available to international students at Montreat College's School of Arts and Sciences, academic and athletic.

Academic Scholarships: cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) and TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, or ACT scores are used to determine academic awards

Athletic Scholarsips: athletic ability, desire to succeed, personal character, and leadership potential (both on and off the court/field) are used to determine athletic awards
How do I apply for financial aid? Once an international student submits an application for admission, they have also applied for financial assistance. No additional forms are needed in order to receive financial aid. Students are awarded once they have applied and been accepted for admission.
Can I work on campus? International students are permitted to work on campus if jobs are available and the student has received a social security card from the Social Security Administration authorizing employment. However, receiving a social security card does not guarantee on-campus employment.
