Dr. Paul Owen, a resident expert faculty on the Mormon faith recently attended the Society for Mormon Philosophy and Theology. Dr. Owen has also just received word that a book he is co-editing with Professor Larry Hurtado of the University of Edinburgh, "Who Is This Son of Man?," has been accepted for publication in the Summer of 2009 with Continuum International Publishing Group. This book will be the first ever collection of scholarly essays in English devoted specifically to the theme of the expression "son of man," which serves in the New Testament gospels as a way of referring to Jesus.

Dr. Mark Wells has recently been named the Chair of the Philosophy of Religion section of the South East Commission on the Study of Religion. Also, he was recently honored and humbled to be awarded the "Most Christ-Like Coach" in his sons' Upward Basketball league. His two boys, Austin (7) and Caleb (5) had a lot of fun playing ball with their dad this year.
