Daniel Bennett, Director of Student Activities at Montreat College says, “This concert will have a different flavor – it’s something outside the standard independent artist music tradition at Montreat. It goes beyond those labels and Christian college standards and ties into a hip-hop culture and scene that is increasingly growing in popularity and power in America. We’re excited about bringing this event to Black Mountain and giving our students a chance to get off campus and into the Black Mountain community.”
Montreat College is a Christ-centered liberal arts institution with its main campus for four-year traditional students in Montreat. The accelerated School of Professional and Adult Studies program has campuses in Asheville, Charlotte, and Black Mountain, with courses being taught in Cherokee, Murphy and other NC locations.
