Christian Adventure Association to Meet at Montreat

The Christian Adventure Association (CAA) will hold its fall conference on the Black Mountain campus on October 18-21. The purpose of the CAA conference is to provide a forum for Christian wilderness and adventure leaders to exchange ideas, information, and their vision for the future, as well as to promote the development and refinement of skills and to provide a setting for renewal, worship, networking, and mentoring.

The keynote speaker will be Eddie Pettit, Director of McCall RA Camp in Sunset, SC, which is owned and operated by the South Carolina Baptist Convention. Morning sessions include workshops, seminars, and round-table discussions that address particular skills, and the afternoon “Skills and Thrills” sessions introduce new skills in outdoor settings.

Montreat College is a Christ-centered liberal arts institution with its main campus for four-year traditional students in Montreat. The accelerated School of Professional and Adult Studies program has campuses in Asheville, Charlotte, and Black Mountain, with courses being taught in Cherokee, Murphy and other NC locations.
