What is a PLUS course?
A PLUS course is any S.P.A.S. course not incorporated into an existing S.P.A.S. degree program, generally fulfilling General Education or Elective criteria.
How many class sessions are in a PLUS course?
PLUS courses are offered in the same format as most S.P.A.S. classes--five class sessions of four hours each, supplemented by additional study group meetings, with the exception of the language courses and the online courses, which are six class sessions each.
What time are classes scheduled?
Weeknights--6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturdays--8 a.m. to 12 p.m. unless otherwise specified.
What is the cost of a PLUS course?
Tuition is $600.00 and books are $105.00, bringing the total cost to $705.00.
How many semester credit hours are PLUS courses?
PLUS courses are 3 credit hours each.
When should I register for a PLUS class?
Registrations are accepted at any time, but students are encouraged to register two to four weeks prior to the first class session, as there are a limited number of spaces in each class.
Where do I find out what PLUS courses are currently scheduled?
PLUS course schedules are posted in classrooms and breakrooms at both the Charlotte and Asheville campus, distributed to students periodically, and posted online.
