I came to Montreat because I wanted to come to a college where my faith would be encouraged. I also came because of Dr. Bill Forstchen. I have listened to talk radio since the age of 15, and I have heard him as a guest on some of the programs. I was fascinated that there was a professor who taught history from a Constitutional-originalist perspective. Lastly, I came because the financial aid office was so helpful and willing to work hard to get me as many grants as possible. My favorite thing about Montreat is the class discussions that are enabled by smaller class sizes.

My experience with everyone here at Montreat has been wonderful. Before I even came here the staff knew me by name, and even now when I go into the office, they ask how my family is and how I am doing. They remember and care how you are truly doing. When I first moved into my dorm room with my best friend, our RAs had a warm welcome waiting for us. They were so nice and made us feel right at home. The students here are great, too. You see students mixing with people that you thought would never mix well together, and you see many students reaching out to those in need. It is awesome! Montreat is the place to be.
