On that day, Head Coach Jose Larios and the Cavaliers will host the Appalachian Athletic Conference men’s and women’s cross country championships. Senior Wilbourn Kosgei of Kenya and the rest of the Montreat men’s team will race against six other colleges starting at 10:00 A.M. Then, the Lady Cavalier harriers will try to outpace the other AAC women’s teams starting at 10:45.
The results will be announced and the awards for the AAC Championships will be handed out immediately following the conclusion of the races. All are invited to attend this free event.
Only a few hours later, Montreat College’s men’s soccer team hosts rival Reinhardt College in the first round of the AAC soccer tournament. Head Coach Brenton Benware cites a mid-season 2-1 victory in double overtime as evidence that this match between a fourth- and fifth-seed will be very close. The team urges fans to come cheer them on when the match kicks off at 2:00 P.M. The winner advances to the conference tournament semi-finals at Milligan College on Friday, November 13.
