McGOWAN CENTER FOR CHRISTIAN STUDIES
& CHAPEL OF THE PRODIGAL

The McGowan Center for Christian Studies is located next to the library at the corner of Appalachian Way and Lookout Road. Built in 1998, it houses faculty offices for the Department of Biblical, Religious, and Interdisciplinary Studies, classrooms, and seminar rooms. It is equipped with full multimedia capabilities, and it provides a Christian education / Christian ministries curriculum library.
McGowan also features the 212-seat Chapel of the Prodigal with a fresco by internationally known artist Ben Long based on the return of the prodigal son from the biblical account in the book of Luke.
