Opportunities for Student Involvment On-Campus

There is always something going on at Montreat College! The Office of Student Activities plans events such as coffee houses, concerts, movies, festivals, formals, study breaks, and more!

Student Government Association

Official student clubs are proposed to the SGA, who will then recommend the club for final approval to the Cabinet.

Clubs at Montreat College include:

Outdoors Club: provides opportunities for students to go, hiking, biking, climbing, and more in the outdoors
The Whetstone (student newspaper): produces issues throughout each semester
Oh Snap! Photography Club: takes pictures, share with friends, capture student life, assists other organizations
Archery Club: this group gathers periodically to enjoy the great sport of Archery!
Mountain Biking Club: designs courses and rides together   
Drama Club: meets regularly and assists with production 
Q - Literary Arts Magazine: publishes student poetry, short stories, photography, etc.

Student Ministries, Service, and Outreach

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes):  Not just for athletes! FCA is one of our strongest student groups on campus.
Catacombs: meets in coffeehouse environment to praise through song, art, dance, and fellowship
Chapel Band: student led, provides contemporary worship music for Chapel
Least of These Ministries: student founded mission to feed and fellowship with local homeless
McAIM: Montreat College Association for International Mission
Mission Trips: Cuba, Guatemala, Pakistan, Post-Katrina Mississippi, Uganda, Thailand, and more
Service and Outreach Program: service opportunities at Habitat for Humanity, shelters, and more

Chapel Band: student led, provides contemporary worship music for Chapel
Ambassadors: traveling choir, presents public concerts and regional tours 
Catacombs: meets in coffeehouse environment to praise through song, art, dance, and fellowship
