For the second consecutive week, Montreat's freshman Allison Baumgartner has garnered the NAIA Region XII/AAC Player of the Week honor. Last week, Baumgartner became the first Lady Cavalier to earn the award for the 2007 season. This week she earned it for her offensive showcase she put on in last week's five-set win over AAC foe Covenant College. Allison racked up 31 kills, three digs, two aces, four solo blocks, and two assisted blocks. She comes to Montreat from First Assembly Christian High School in Charlotte, NC. Allison and her teammates head into the AAC Volleyball Tournament with the #6 seed, and they will square off against #3 Bryan College in the first round. The Montreat Vs. Bryan match will begin on Court #2, at 1:00pm on Friday, November 9th.
