Lady Cavs take a two day break after Lenoir Rhyne loss

Head Coach Leslie Gehris gave her Lady Cavalier volleyball team two days off in order to regroup and think about what needs to be addressed prior to this Saturday's match. "Right now, I'm not sure what team will show up on the court. Stephanie Hosack had a tremendous game, possibly her best of the year. We need solid and consistent performances like that day in and day out. I think they needed a break to regroup," said Coach Gehris. The Lady Cavs have shown spurts of greatness along the way, though with freshman star Rebekah Henderson out sick, Montreat has been forced to shift positions around and find a winning formula.

Monreat will host Brenau University this Saturday at 3:00pm before hosting conference foe King College on Tuesday, October 9th at 6:30pm.

Once again Danny Bowers led all performers with 9 kills and 11 digs against Lenoir Rhyne.  Ally Baumgartner earned 7 kills as well while Stephanie Hosack had 6 digs in what Gehris considered to be her best performance of the season.  Montreat has had great success playing at McAlister Gymnasium.  All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to come out and support the Lady Cavs as they attempt to regroup and face a tough remaining conference schedule at home.
