Montreat Volleyball wins in 3 straight against TFC

The Lady Cavs made Toccoa Falls College their 7th win this season by taking them in three straight games, 30-17, 30-14, and 30-21. “This was a much needed win,” said Head Coach Leslie Gehris, “it could have been better, but we know what we have to practice on for our upcoming Union match this Saturday.” Defensively, Jessica Huntley once again demonstrated her senior leadership by tallying 19 digs against the Lady Eagles. Freshman Clair Sellers also had a standout night for Montreat by adding four solo blocks to her season’s stats.

Lyndsey Wall recorded another 20-plus assists match (22) and Emily Piccirillo earned 17 of her own.  Their favorite targets against the Eagles were Danny Bowers with 13 kills and senior Madolyn Helms who put away 6 kills herself.

Montreat seeks to improve on its 2-4 AAC record as they take on Union College at home this Saturday at 1:00pm.  Union College currently sits atop of the AAC polls with an 11 game winning streak.  The Lady Cavs are encouraging all faculty, staff, and students to come out and support Montreat College this Saturday!
