Montreat College women's golf team results at Piedmont College Fall Invitational
Montreat College women's golf team finish in 5th place at Piedmont College Apple Mountain Women's Fall Invitational.
(Clarksville, GA)-Apple Mountain Golf Resort-The Montreat College women's golf team finished in fifth place out of seven teams in the Apple Mountain Women's Fall Golf Invitational, played on Monday, October 9th.
Order of team finish; 1) Oglethrope University-314 * won playoff, 2) Methodist College-(Gold)-314, 3) Methodist College-(Green)-315, 4) Tennessee Wesleyan College-347, 5) Montreat College-352, 6) Peidmont College-362, 7) Young Harris College-438.
Leading the Lady Cavaliers; Melissa Baker-(FR, Clayton, NC) 84, Ashley Mitcham-(FR, Waynesville, NC) 85, Aimee Turner-(FR, China Grove, NC) 90 and Amber Cody-(SO, Marion, NC) 93. Melissa Baker and Ashley Mitcham finished in the top fifteen in scoring for the tournament.
This is the first season for the women's golf program at Montreat. In just their third tournament as a team, a school scoring record has been established, 352. Congratulations to the women's golf team!
