Men’s Basketball fall to Berea College, 66-76
Five players in double digits was not enough to hold off Berea College this past weekend, as Montreat fell 76-66 in another road game loss. Aaron Collazo led all Cavalier scorers with 13 points on the night. MJ Njoku earned 11 points, while Kenard Barnett, Seth Moore, and Thomas Nicholson tallied 10 apiece for the Cavaliers. Montreat was held to 41% shooting from the floor. “We couldn’t keep them off the offensive glass,” said Coach Robinson of Berea’s 18 offensive rebounds. “It was a disappointing loss, as I didn’t think we shot the ball real well, nor were we able to play well inside.”
Montreat continues action in Kentucky as they play Asbury College in the next round of the Berea College Tournament. Montreat will take on Asbury at 1:00pm.
