Maiden standout signs with Montreat

Daniel Kennedy a two-year starter for Maiden High School has accepted a scholarship to play at Montreat College in Montreat, NC, Kennedy was an All-conference performer for the Blue Devils leading the team in scoring with a 14.8 points per game and chipping in with 3.2 assist per game.
Missing out on most of his junior season with a broken hand, Kennedy worked hard in the off season to improve his shooting. He was also a key player off the bench as a sophomore where he averaged 6 points a game on the Blue Devils sectional chapionship team. He played in the regional finals against state champion Thomasville with a broken nose which he received in the conference Tournament Championship Game.
