Associate in Science Degree Graduation Requirements
1. A total of 62 hours to include successful completion of the Associate Degree core with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00 on all course work completed through Montreat College.
2. Satisfactory completion of the general education requirements or core classes as detailed above.
3. In addition to successful completion of the general education requirement, the student must successfully complete the following competency requirements for the Associate in Science degree:
- Must demonstrate computer competency by either previous course work or by successful completion of CS 102, Introduction to Computers, in the associate degree curriculum (if required, CS 102 can be used as elective hours).
- Must demonstrate oral competency by either previous course work or by successful completion of EN 231, Public Speaking and Presentations in the associate degree curriculum (if required, EN 231 can be used as elective hours).
- Must have a health or physical education course or a waiver by the Dean of Adult Education (if required, the health or physical education course can be used as elective hours).
