The Biology and Environmental Studies programs emphasize critical thinking skills, environmental stewardship, and interpretation.  The departments conduct an experiential learning environment with hands-on exploration that takes great advantage of the area's natural history and appalacian mountain biodiversity.

The Natural Sciences department equips students with the technical and philosophical foundations necessary to make decisions with regard to their personal and vocational lives.
