Montreat Biology Major Course Requirements

 |
1. Courses required for general education core, including Biology 101 and 102 (50 hours).
 2. Required courses in the major (41.5 hours):
Biology 201 (4), 202 (4), 211 (2), 212 (2), 301 (3), 311 (3), 312 (3), 401 (3)
Chemistry 201 (4), 202 (4)
Environmental Studies 206 (4), 230 (0.5), 330 (0.5), 430 (0.5)
Math 203 (4)
3. Complete one of the following concentrations:
A. Pre-Professional General Biology Concentration (22-23 hours)
B. Environmental Biology Concentration (20-22 hours)
C. Special Emphasis (min. 6 courses, 22 hours)
4. General electives to bring total to 126 semester hours. Refer to “Requirements for Baccalaureate Degrees” in the Catalog for more information.
5. All biology majors are required to take the Major Field Test (MFT) in their discipline prior to graduation. |
