Members of the community, students, faculty, local government officials, and media representatives will gather on Gaither Commons on Tuesday, August 19th at 5:30 p.m. to commemorate and promote this new initiative. The event will feature information on tobacco cessation resources, music, door prizes from local businesses, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and special viewings of the Montreat College student-produced documentary about this initiative. Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn more about becoming a part of the Tobacco Free Campus Action Team, comprised of representatives from student services, faculty, students, staff and Montreat College Alumni.
