Some of the ongoing outreach activities of Montreat's OE department include:

BackCountry	BackCountry Wilderness Program
CLIMBE	CLIMBE is Montreat's environmental training and research center. We provide young scientists with hands-on field data collection and analysis experience. The program is FREE for gifted 8th-12th grade NC resident students who have an interest in science and outdoor pursuits.
Team and Leadership Center	Provides team and leadership development among church and school groups, corporate training departments and others.
