M.A. in Biology with an emphasis in Ecology from Appalachian State University.
Ph.D. in Environmental Studies at Antioch University (New England Graduate School).

Work Experience
Chairman of the Board for the Christian Wilderness Leadership Coalition.
Helped to found Blue Ridge Backcountry, a local Christian Wilderness program.
