CIS Major Course Requirements  

 
1. Courses required for general education core (50 hours).
Students are encouraged to include Math 214 and English 271 in the general education core requirements.
 
2. Required courses in the major (63 hours):
Business 101 (3), 201 (3), 203 (3), 209 (3), 214 (3), 441 (3)
Computer Science 102 (3), 204 (3), 206 (3), 302 (3), 310 (3), 320 (4), 330 (3), 340 (3), 360 (3), 420 (3), 450 (3), 460 (3)
Math 142 (4), 203 (4)

4. All CIS majors are required to take a departmental comprehensive exam prior to graduation.
 

CIS Minor Requirements  

The minor in Computer Information Systems requires 18 hours of courses to include:

plus one of the following programming courses:

  • Computer Information Systems 210 (3)
  • Computer Information Systems 305 (3)
  • or Computer Information Systems 330 (3)

and any two computer information systems courses from the 300-400 level.
